Damn those cookies!

When I went to Sam's Club the other day, I bought a big tub of chocolate chip cookie mix... why, oh why did I do this?! My two lil girls and I made a few dozen on Saturday... and we ate them all on Sunday. I made 2 dozen more today.. and they're slowly disappearing! Everytime I pass the platter, I grab one. When the phone rings, I grab one. When I blink, I grab one! I will be so happy when the tub of mix is gone.. it'll be the death of me.. and my waistline!

Arianna update: still sick and will have to stay home from school again tomorrow.
Lyric update: has learned how to write her name. Evidence of this on the bathroom wall and door.
Jaydaci update: laughs out loud now and knows when to use it.. like when her diaper leaked on my white bedspread.

Just a test to see if I can really blog from my phone. I hope so! Here goes!

New Beginnings #2 and the Lady with the Cool Purse

Okay, let me have a new start at this! Since my first new start, I have had my 3rd daughter, Jaydaci Rayne Nicole, on August 1, 2009. She was a month premature, but otherwise all is well. It's been hard adjusting to life as a single mom of 3, but it gets better ever day... not easier, but better!
I've been thinking about blogging almost everyday, but it's a chore just getting on the computer so I think I have a plan that I'll try: every night when the kids are in bed, that's my time... what do you think? Think it'll work...? We'll see; I hope so, because I really want to do this.. Hell, I really NEED to do this! Even if it's just little updates on my day, thoughts or feelings, it's something!
So here goes: this weekend was a typical weekend. My oldest, Arianna, has been sick, but she hid it from me for 2 days because she didn't want to miss dance class. How can she hide it, you ask...? I have a 2 month old and a 4 year old all vying for my attention, so it wasn't hard for her lol! But she's on the mend now.
Yesterday Jaydaci and I went to Sam's Club. I'm at home so much that when I'm in public, I talk and talk and talk to whoever talks to me so when a lady stopped me to see the baby, I didn't mind at all. She started talking to me and commenting on Jaydaci so I thought, "Oh whoa; I know her and forgot her name!" So I talk back and we talk about our kid's names (she has a daughter named Jori- isn't that cool?!), etc. As she was walking away (after about 6, 7 minutes of conversation) I finally realized that I didn't know her; that she was just another person happy to be out, talking to people. And I also realized that she had a really cool purse.
